Clubs and organisations often hand a new pitch project to a small committee of members who know what they need and what funds are available. Those members then have to get to grips with planning applications, governing body standards, funding requirements and construction programmes, often in a short space of time. It’s a worthwhile process, but it can be a big undertaking.
